Local Values member, Design Communications wins prestigious SBS award

Really exciting news – Local Values member, Design Communications, a Bury St Edmunds based company designing and maintaining voice, data, mobile and WIFI systems for businesses, won the SBS award on Twitter last week.

SBS is run by Theo Paphitis of Dragon’s Den, and the awards are specially selected by him!! Congratulations came flooding in from across the country after Theo retweeted the results to his 500,000 followers. The Design Communications team will get to meet him at the annual winner’s celebratory event. The award is designed to raise the profile of Small Businesses and Design Communications saw a huge increase in their followers within a few hours! It would be great to share the word with other local businesses. It’s a fantastic award to win and very much sort after.

Design Communications was established 30 years ago, and has been located in the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds since 2004. With customer service at the forefront they work with businesses large and small to create communication systems that save customers time and money and deliver outstanding connectivity.

Director, Nigel McCartney, is also a Foster Carer for Suffolk County Council and Chair of a Board of Trustee’s for The Fostering Network. The social media for these causes reflects Nigel’s passion and support for such an important charity that looks to improve the outcomes for foster carers and ultimately the children looked after by them.

This is Design Communications’ biggest achievement on Twitter and an amazing boost. A number of Suffolk Businesses have won this prestigious award and it would be great to spread the word of Theo Paphitis’ SBS awards to other Suffolk businesses that might also benefit.

Nigel is quoted as saying “…this award is a fantastic acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication that the whole team has put in to making sure the customer is at the forefront of everything we do.”
